How, exactly, are we going to create a car that can go 300+ miles (while running the A/C) on a charge, and recharge in three minutes?
...and without digging up most of the earth’s crust for rare earth elements?
Exactly. I live in OKC and we like to spend some weekends up in the far NW portion of the Oklahoma Panhandle. About a 360 miles. I ran different scenarios between the best Tesla and my SUV. To make that trip in my SUV...it takes about 6 hours. One stop for gas...(only because there are no gas stations within 40 miles of where we stay so you fill up at the last one before getting to your destination). In the best Tesla...it would take us about 9 hours for the trip. Or more. That’s assuming there are charging stations in that remote part of Oklahoma. And there aren’t any. But if there were...we could go about 2 hours...with AC running because it’s hot in OK in the summer...then an hour or more to fully charge...then two more hours...then an hour to charge...then about 2 hours...then an hour to charge. And odds are...those numbers will not change significantly in the next many years. Unless you have a semi-trailer size battery.
