Obama implemented a "gainful employment" rule for private for-profit colleges, based on the earnings of graduates relative to the loans they took. This article says that many nonprofit schools would also fail such a test. I'll note that "nonprofit" universities have been hiking prices faster than the "for-profit" companies I buy from.

Lower-tier nonprofit colleges are proudly sucking up the taxpayer funding for far too many ill-educated, double digit-IQ students who barely show up to class or do any work and can pretty much have any homework done or papers written for them by the free “tutoring” at their “academic centers of excellence”.

It is a total scam at this point.

Once again an example of the crony capitalism that the entire Obama administration played with the education monolith.

For profit college were doing mostly fine, with a few outliers. And the scammers were being closed down, albeit slowly. Except for urban for profit colleges that catered to certain specialties ...

But the “non-profit” colleges were getting killed by the for profits and had to be taken down to protect the Government-Educational Complex.

As in all parts of life, if you work hard at an education you will learn. If you are lazy then all the money and loans won't get you ahead one bit.

Thanks for posting this.

“I spent $60,000.”

That guy didn’t spend a dime out of his own pocket.

In a lawsuit a judge tossed GE when internal Department of Education memos revealed that the formulas for GE thresholds were deliberately worked backwards to ensure that 25% of all for-profit schools would fail.

Obama’s Deptartment of Education then did it again, using almost exactly the same formulas, except this time without any embarrassing memos.

Yeah clearly if you want to build to make a living with your degree you need to go to a regular University. They never give people degrees that are worthless
