I don’t know how any judges continue to serve after someone given a slap on the wrist re-offends.
The public isn’t paying attention. They may post OMG on social media if a story gets wide distribution, but by the time elections roll around, they’ve seen a squirrel. In states where judges would have to be impeached by the legislature, the public has no recourse other than writing to their State Rep.
