[[when an FBI agent heard what appeared to be more than one bullet being fired at a time,]]

it still only fires 1 bullet at a time even if it’s a fully auto- unless it had several barrels all capable of firing at once? I doubt it-

[[the affidavit said. Mr. Lemley later that day told Patrik Jordan Mathews, the 27-year-old Canadian, that he had a gun that could fire more than one round at a time, authorities said.]]

So they are claiming the defendant told them he told soemoen he had a gun with multiple barrels?

[[“Oh oops, it looks like I accidentally made a machine gun,” Mr. Lemley said, according to the affidavit. He also allegedly said that he would stow part of the weapon until the next week in case someone from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives showed up.]]

so he goes out in public advertising to the world his new supposed fully auto gun, then AFTER says h has to now hide it?

This story sounds very fake to me- made up-

The reason they say he’s from Canada is so it’s hard to prove his identity!

Same here. You have to be pretty dumb to tell a complete stranger that you have a machine gun, especially when you're an illegal alien (...from Canada..?). And the guy you happen to tell is the FBI guy at the range?
