So 4 or 5 counties in Nova gets to tell the rest of the state what to do? It would be a good time for rest of the state to secede from Nova.
That's how it works in NYS. And why the state has lost also half it's House seats in 60 years. But VA has an advantage that NYS doesn't : Fedzilla stocking the voter rolls with federal employees.
Unless Trump can seriously downsize Fedzilla, or at least move them out of NoVA, my advice is vote with your feet.
Look up Reynolds v. Sims. A Senate distributed with an equal number of Senators per county and independent city (such as fairfax) could have stopped this Bloomberg-Soros-Chicomm crap, but unfortunately, that ruling prevents such an arrangement with its one-man-one-vote nonsense.
I looked this up prior to the 2019 elections.
Virginia’s population breakdown:
DC/Arlington/Alexandria Metroplex = 6.1 million (6,246 square miles)
Rest of the state = 4.6 million (36,509 square miles)
The link below has some good maps showing the new districts.
