Judge revokes bail for Avenatti, cites new crime evidence

SANTA ANA, Calif. - A federal judge revoked bail Wednesday for attorney Michael Avenatti after prosecutors detailed evidence of new financial crimes he committed while he was free and facing trials in New York and California.

Judge James Selna said Avenatti, best known as the brash lawyer for porn actress Stormy Daniels, likely committed the crimes and was a threat because of the prospect he would continue committing crimes while free.

“I believe the danger to the community is real and palpable,” Selna said in court.

Prosecutors were seeking to hold Avenatti behind bars for allegedly committing new acts of wire and mail fraud, both federal offenses, as well as possible state crimes in California and Washington state. Avenatti had been free on an unsecured $300,000 surety bond that required he not commit any crimes.

The alleged new crimes follow a pattern of misconduct since 2011 and appear to mirror crimes he is charged with committing in a 36-count indictment, prosecutors said.

He’ll be flying Con Air from now on between NY and CA for his court appearances, probably one of the most truly squalid air travel experiences anyone can be cursed with. Just read “Orange is the New Black.” The guests are chained in their seats with no bathroom access, but are considerately provided with Depends for their needs. Then, on arrival in NYC, he’ll wallow in the total luxury of the Feds’ MCC, the place where Epstein was so comfortably accommodated.

The man is totally out of control. When it is all over I suspect we will find a large pile of cocaine that he indulged with great excess.

He is finished.

They’re not even trying to float the old tired line anymore, “My client is innocent of all charges and can’t wait to vigorously defend himself in court.” That ship sailed two years ago. The Nike charges alone will burn him to the ground. They’re also no longer talking about his felony charges from beating the holy crap out of his girlfriend (”She hit me first!!!!”). This guy has committed so many crimes in the last 3 years that you need a cataloging app to track them all.

She’s hunkered down in a hotel somewhere living off porn money. When food gets delivered, she probably makes her daughter answer the door and pay for it.

Avenatti was looking at the 2020 presidential race. Now he is looking at 10 to 20 at San Quentin.

Yep, I’ve posted before that I’d bet anything he has a nose-candy problem. Not only is every thought about getting more money, he’s gotten more and more reckless in the last 5 years. The guy is a lawyer, knows how these things work, but seems to think he’s beating the system when the people he’s stealing from see everything. His instincts are absolutely terrible and he’s becoming more unhinged. After being caught repeatedly, he’s out on bail committing more crimes.

He and his lawyer can cry that he’s being railroaded but that’s just stupid and everybody knows it. He violated a court order on a $2 million judgement against him and the judge got fed up with his antics and no-shows in court, so the judge hit him for the full $10 million judgement. So much for giving this clown a break, he can’t even do what’s right under duress. Nike would have to be in on this conspiracy against him, too. Yeah, they’re going to do that. They wouldn’t be hauling him into court unless they really had something on him.
