I would offer that the difference is zero.

Same personalities, same control freaks, do this - don't do that, think this - that opinion is wrong think, demand obedience through violence and threats of violence, imprison anyone objecting, on and on, classic fascists / national socialist behavior without the ability to recognize that they are the Nazis.

They will not stop until their violence is met in kind.
