"Oktibbeha County Lake Dam is in imminent danger of failing,"

I used to live in Oktibbeha County for a short time. I wonder how close that dam is to Starkville.

Our kids attend college In Starkville. I do not see any warnings on the MSU website and the kids would get an alert on their phone if there was a risk on campus, so, for now I’m going to assume all is well, unless they let me know otherwise. And I will pass any notifications I get along to FR.

7 miles NE of Starkville. The lake is about 2 square miles in area.
