Have the "blame Trump" people explained why Iranians might have believed a plane taking off from Tehran and heading upwards and outbound was mistaken for an inbound retaliatory strike by the Americans?

Well, from the vantage point of the missile launcher, the plane might have looked like it was coming roughly from the direction of the attacked airbase. Worth checking, just to understand.

Yes, their explanation is that those wily foxes at the Pentagon were able to use technology to fool the Iranian systems so as to disguise the passenger plane as an incoming attack aircraft.
