BTW, a couple of things. I wonder if that thing pops if we will be able to hear it?

And how much will it reduce the earths temps? Pinatubo reduced it by about 1 degree? Is that right?

That, with the reduction of solar activity..

When Krakatoa went off in the late 1800’s the sound was heard something like 2,500 miles away. I don’t recall how far Mt. Saint Helen’s was heard from. Although I do recall that right near the blast there was no sound! Something to do with the air temperature increase due to the blast, and the sound was projected upwards.

It's not a Toba, so no volcanic winter. It's not a Tambora which reduced temperatures by about a degree C, but much bigger effects locally e.g. year without a summer. Tambora was a much larger mountain when it blew up.

Probably not the size of Pinatubo either which reduced temperatures by a few tenths of a degree C. Pinatubo ejected a fairly large quantity of material for a number of blasts. I think the difference with Taal might be duration but it still might not reach as high in the stratosphere. The Little Ice Age peaked just before the Taal 1754 eruption and I don't see evidence of cooling from that eruption.

So unless it does something different I don't see it impacting the weather.
