Well that is how WV became a state in the first place.. WV section ov what was then VA didn’t want to secede from the Union, so they broke away from VA and became their own state....
No reason to not welcome more of VA into WVA...
If this ever became serious, I think you would see a good bit of western and central VA be willing to seriously consider it, especially the crazier and crazier and more and more influence NOVA is having over the state government.
