Margaret’s story was clarified yesterday in print. She was not told to give up marrying only to delay, but she would have had to give up her place in the line of succession. Being 3rd in line, she chose not to give that up. It’s turning out that quite a bit of ‘dramatic license’ is being scripted in the series, The Crown.
