Plastic bags are now considered bad for the environment.
You are supposed to use reusable cloth shopping bags.
Expect to see local governments tax the use of plastic bags used at stores.

I have the colorful big plastic bags with handles for grocery items.

Does this mean we have to buy several plastic or netting style ones for buying 6 Idaho potatoes, 4 sweet potatoes, 2 zucchini,some cold lettuce leaves, radishes and a pound of wet asparagus sitting in crushed ice?

I always thought Pee Wee Herman would consider those smaller bags to be undignified and sissified to use. Oh well.
