The Democrats, the news media, the leftists in academia and Hollywood, and all their fellow travelers hate the USA, and their objective is to destroy it.
Some want to destroy the USA and subvert its vast wealth and power to their own personal property and aggrandizement.
They hold as an example, among others, the seizure of the wealth and power of the Roman Republic by the Claudio-Julian Family, setting themselves up as Emperors, living in wealth and luxury, ruling over appeased though oppressed masses.
(It's worth noting that the second Roman Emperor was the monster Tiberius, the third Caligula, the fifth Nero, about which these ambitious leftists are no more concerned than they are about George Orwell's nightmare 1984.)
