Comments by President Donald Trump and Candidate Michael Bloomberg, made shortly after the heroic actions of Jack Wilson, in the West Freeway Church of Christ, in White Settlement, Texas, show a stark difference in their attitude toward the Second Amendment and the wisdom of having the right to bear arms protected in the United States Constitution.
First, the reaction of President Donald Trump, as put forward in one of his famous tweets:
The tweet by President Trump is consistent with his support for the right of the individual to bear arms in defense of himself and others, as mentioned many times during his campaign.
Candidate Michael Bloomberg, former Mayor of New York City, also reacted to the defensive shooting in the West Freeway Church of Christ. He did so during a public event, which was recorded and placed on YouTube.
The statement in the video is quoted below, Michael Bloomberg said:
“And that may be true, I wasn't there and I don't know the facts that somebody in the congregation had their own gun and killed the person who murdered two other people, but it is the job of law enforcement to have guns and to decide when to shoot. You just do not want the average citizen carrying a gun in a crowded place.”
Michael Bloomberg may not have known all of the facts at the time he answered this question. The video of the shooting has been widely available.

Bloomers is a fool. Rich...yes, without any concept of reality.
Bloomers is a very smart man. Just not quite as smart as he thinks he is. When you begin a statement with “I don’t know all the facts...” you need to STFU right then.
I wonder if he feels the same about synagogues.
He is NOT a fool; he is a wealthy wanna-be dictator.
His changing of NY law to allow him to run for a third term as NYC mayor should disqualify him from any presidential aspirations - to say nothing about limiting the size of Big Gulps or removing salt from restaurant tables.

A society that is at the point of debating guns in church is probably done. Our “solution” is to carry in church so that only a few people get killed; the Lestist “solution” is to disarm the law abiding. What goes better with my church blue jeans, the 9 or the 45?
We are all ignorant—just about different things. Bloomberg is very knowledge about how to invest his money. Yet he is totally ignorant about the challenges faced everyday by average Americans. He exists in a caccoon of protection provided by hired guns, yet he wants us to depend totally on the police for our protection. Why doesn’t he practice what he preaches? Because he believes his life is more valuable than ours. President Trump does not.
The Founding Fathers inserted the second amendment into the Constitution to allow us to protect ourselves from a government like Bloomberg is proposing, not so we could go squirrel hunting.
Every other ad you see on Boston TV is a Doomberg ad.Much of New Hampshire watches Boston stations and NH is clearly important...now,and in November.
I only watch sports on TV and Bloomberg is carpet bombing us in Florida with ads during games, too.

Will he make all the agencies GIVE BACK all the ammunition etal that was (supposedly) stockpiled in such agencies as NEA, HUD, SSA, VA, etc etc etc?
Then again with the agencies ‘buying’ the ammo, it takes it out of ‘our’ hands, which if they can’t take our guns, they will just make ammo expensive by cornering the market with OUR MONEY.

That is exactly right; Bloombutt IS a wannabe dictator. Only HE knows what's best for everyone else. He delves into areas of which he knows NOTHING and imposes his ideas on how that system should be run. Well, buddy, this is the United States of America, not your private fiefdom. I don't care how much money you have, you still get one vote, same as me. You ruined thousands of lives in NYC, you turned teachers into pariahs and punching bags that no one should respect. Drop dead, turn black, and rot in hell.
You just don’t want rich folks to be able to hire their own private security. If something happens they can call the police and go to a safe room and wait for the police to respond.
I’ve always found people who don’t know what they don’t know disturbing if not downright scary. You are right, you can be an expert in some areas and a complete doofus in others. Really smart people understand this. The not-as-smart-as-they-think-they-are crowd don’t get it and think that expertise in one area makes them brilliant in everything. That’s one reason why we get celebrities lecturing us about how to live our lives.
