The Wall is the only reason I voted for Trump; otherwise, I had very low expectations and thought any thing else would be gravy. We have a lot of gravy and a little wall.

But I'm not complaining. I fully understand that Trump has fought this battle all by himself with absolutely no help from anyone and courts have tried to stop every inch of the Wall.

So I am very happy Trump has tried to build the Wall, although, we don't really need a big beautiful Door in the Wall, I might add.

I went to Big Bend National Park in May of 2019 and then drove along the border west of the park, as far as the road took me - about 100 miles or so. The drive is absolutely beautiful and very remote. There really is no need for a Wall along this stretch. The Rio Grande is narrow, but there are sheer bluffs on either side of the border - perhaps 200 feet high or so in many areas that no one will be able to get from one side to the other.

There are other areas along here that while easier to cross, I just don't see a normal person being able to do it. I also don't see a Wall in Big Bend National Park, either. There are some areas here where someone can easily cross, but with all the rangers and border patrol, won't get too far.

WOW one trip to this area and we have another expert. Is that you Hannity?

I spent 11 years on the Texas southern border and I have seen and witnessed 100s of deaths on this stretch you are talking about. These are the ones found, not the ones buried in cairns or the ones ate by the animals.

This is a drug runners paradise. Did you pass any vehicles on your 100 mile drive? If you did there is a high probability they were running drugs.

Agree. ...I think many FReepers just don’t understand how the terrain on the terrain along the Texas border differs greatly from that along CA and AZ.
