Essentially there is no law in NYS anymore. Everyone is on their own.
This is the case in any “sanctuary city”, state, etc. - happening here in NJ as well. Not just because of the “bail reform” (which has also lowered our quality of life), but because of what it says about these states’ abilities to manage prison systems/jails: The states are broke, and can’t provide three hots and a cot to its unassimilated permanent underclass anymore.
At least the optics look good; no more “mass incarceration of blacks”...
