Federal court in SF considers two Trump restrictions on immigration rules

A Trump administration lawyer asked a federal appeals court in San Francisco on Thursday to allow enforcement of a ban on U.S. entry for hundreds of thousands of legal immigrants who lack private health insurance. But two of the three judges expressed doubt that President Trump was acting within his legal authority.

But Judge Marsha Berzon noted that legal immigrants were eligible for government-funded health care under federal laws. “Why isn’t that (administration policy) a direct contradiction with Congress?” she asked. And under the Affordable Care Act, she said, migrants would have better coverage than under the minimal private insurance policies that Trump would allow them to buy.


Government funded? You mean taxpayer funded. And isn't that nice that the immigrants would get health coverage than the citizens paying for it.

They support Obamacare because (according to the ridiculous Justice Roberts ruling) it’s a tax. They should support Trump’s protection of our tax dollars for this tax.

Make a ruling and run it up the ladder for reversal. As time goes on, the Clinton Bush and Obama judges in the lower courts become speedbumps.

Any spending for medical care of a foreign national should be billed to the country in question, and deducted from any foreign aid they receive.
