Minimum wage is $0.00. They never seem to understand that you can’t pay people more than they produce. Artificially raising wages will either cause the goods and services prices to increase or the company let’s people go or close entirely. They have learned nothing from their past endeavors.
I would say this...if all of the illegals in the country left (forced to leave), then the jobs situation would require employers to go and look for people....likely raising the hourly rate a day or two in the first year alone. We’ve made a mistake allowing this many illegals to stay in the country and artificially screw up the wage rate.
However, when they do raise the minimum wage as they did in many places. The doomsday predictions are not occurring either....so both sides are ridiculous as always.
