A couple of summers ago I saw a brand new Corvette pulled over in a 25 MPH zone in my smallish community.
The driver was a gray-haired old man...
He must have ‘gotten on it’ at the wrong place/time I’m sure he doubled the speed limit..

Many, include myself bought a Corvette for track use and spirited driving mountain twisties like the Blue Ridge Parkway and Tail of the Dragon. Corvette owners don’t like highway travel much since they are cop magnets.
As for fuel economy, my 2015 Z51 Stingray gets around 24mpg and 6 on the track like Thunderhill in Willows, CA.
