Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), whose campaign is running largely on the issue of climate change, may increase his private jet usage during the Senate impeachment trial, allowing him to jet back and forth between D.C. and early primary and caucus states, his senior campaign adviser Jeff Weaver stated this week.
While the Senate has not set the parameters of the upcoming impeachment trial and House Speaker Pelosi (D-CA) has yet to transmit the articles to the upper chamber, senators — particularly those who are also running presidential campaigns — are beginning to strategize on how they will effectively balance the trial and their respective campaigns.
Sanders’ campaign, which raised a massive $34.5 million in the final quarter of 2019, does not seem too worried. Weaver, Sanders’ senior campaign adviser, suggested that the presidential hopeful will simply increase his private jet usage, commuting from D.C. to early voting states as needed.

I honestly don’t understand why any of the aspiring Democratic candidates should be allowed to vote on removal. Pres. Trump has been ‘impeached’ for supposedly using the power of his office in trying to “hurt” a political opponent. So, what would voting to remove a sitting President that you are hoping to defeat in the upcoming election be considered? Esp. if there are on-floor speeches (grandstanding) and questioning (badgering) of witnesses involved. Conflict of interest and undue influence, IMO.

Climate change regulations are for the deplorables, not the elitist masters who were elected to rule over us and order our lives as they see fit.
We can’t expect the same restrictions to apply to them as everyone else, now can we?
Same with Pelosi and the impeachment sham.
Because she's next in line after Pence, she should have NOTHING to do with the whole procedure.
She stands to benefit way too much if it were to go through and it could be rightly pointed out that she's just doing the impeachment to gain the presidency without ever having to get elected to it.
HUGE conflict of interest from someone who has so much to gain from it. It's not for the purpose of overthrowing the current sitting president to grab the position for yourself.
Time for Bernie to be taking a dirt nap.
