Ironically similar to what happened to Iran Air Flight 655. The major difference being the fact that Flight 655 was flying toward the ship that fired on it, while the Ukraine Air flight was flying away from Tehran.

“Iran Air Flight 655 was a scheduled passenger flight from Tehran to Dubai via Bandar Abbas, that was shot down on 3 July 1988 by an SM-2MR surface-to-air missile fired from USS Vincennes, a guided missile cruiser of the United States Navy. The aircraft, an Airbus A300, was destroyed and all 290 people on board, including 66 children, were killed.[1] The jet was hit while flying over Iran’s territorial waters in the Persian Gulf, along the flight’s usual route, shortly after departing Bandar Abbas International Airport, the flight’s stopover location. Vincennes had entered Iranian territory after one of its helicopters drew warning fire from Iranian speedboats operating within Iranian territorial limits.[2][3]
“The reason for the shootdown has been disputed between the governments of the two countries. According to the United States government, the crew of USS Vincennes had incorrectly identified the Airbus as an attacking F-14 Tomcat, a U.S.-made jet fighter that had been part of the Iranian Air Force inventory since the 1970s. While the F-14s had been supplied to Iran in an air-to-air configuration,[4][5] the crew of the guided missile cruiser had been briefed that the Iranian F-14s were equipped with air-to-ground ordnance.[6] Vincennes had made ten attempts to contact the aircraft on both military and civilian radio frequencies, but had received no response.[7]
“According to the Iranian government, the cruiser negligently shot down the aircraft, which was transmitting IFF squawks in Mode III, a signal that identified it as a civilian aircraft, and not Mode II as used by Iranian military aircraft.[8][9] The event generated a great deal of criticism of the United States. Some analysts blamed the captain of Vincennes, William C. Rogers III, for overly-aggressive behavior in a tense and dangerous environment.[7][10] In the days immediately following the incident, US President Ronald Reagan issued a written diplomatic note to the Iranian government, expressing deep regret.[11]
can deceased family members sue Iran for damages in any way?
Canada’s Prime Cuck will bury this disaster.
Yeah sure..”mistake” we all know Iran doesn’t make mistakes..if they want someone dead it gets done. This was DELIBERATE!! Iran knew the US would not retaliate for that joke of a missile strike they did in Iraq..my spidey senses tells me that whole missile strike was a prelude to this, they wanted an excuse for shooting down the plane, saying “Oh we thought it was a US warplane coming to attack us so we shot it down, our bad”
Accident Babalouie? There’s no such thing as an accident, mistake maybe, accident no.
I posted this the morning after the missile attack:
“You can bet your ass that, knowing there were going to be missile launches into Iraq, Iranian air defense batteries were placed on a weapons free status. Some moron(s) in the Iranian air defense corps, fearing an immediate retaliatory attack, were a little too trigger happy and unloaded on a low-flying unidentified aircraft on an attack profile.
You can also count on the fact that we know exactly what happened to that aircraft...”
Mistake, yes, but only in the sense that they shot down what they almost certainly thought was a low-level attack profile; missiles don’t launch themselves.
Oh, my goodness...
Perfectly good planes don't crash, they get shot down. All the evidence so far points to this.
An accident is when you dial a wrong phone number. It may have been mistaken identity but it was not an accident.
The Trump curse strikes again. Lol. Go up against The Don at your own risk.
“Ukrainian jet that crashed in Tehran ‘WAS hit by an Iranian missile in what was likely an accident, Pentagon and US intelligence officials say’”
sounds like maybe Pentagon and US intelligence officials finally got around to looking at and verifying the cell phone video of the SAM missile streaking into the Boeing 737 right after flight takeoff from Tehran

personally, my best guess is that Iran went Defcon 5 right after sulymani was killed and some poorly trained sad-sack SAM battery operator incorrectly put his battery into some kind of automatic or test mode and a SAM took off after the Ukranian airliner as soon as the airliner lifted off from Tehran
Imagine if Trump had “accidentally” bombed one of our airliners..WOW! the blunder of the century...this proves he is crazy..blah blah blah.
Imagine if he was the one that accidentally bombed the Ukrainian airliner.
Otherwise, how are the Ukrainians taking the news?
Our satellite intel picked up signals of the ground radar being turned on & detected infrared blips of 2 missile launches, probably SA-15s, followed shortly by another infrared blip of an explosion.
More than anything it’s a display of incompetence.
anyone on the plane have dirt on the clintons?
asking for a friend
and a big Bravo Sierra to accidentally shooting down the aircraft.
