My talker DJ this morning said the 150 Mil $ was the Shaw’s govt. money (pre 1979) and never belonged to the revolutionary Ayitola’s later govt. Obo turning over that money allowed that later belligerent govt . to have lots of funding for whatever uses..... (excuse spelling please).
It was Iranian government and Iranian investor money.
We were obligated to turn it over to the “legitimate” government. In this case that means the Islamic State.
There is right, wrong, and the rule of law. Disagreement between the first two is the reason we have the third.
When you take the emotion out of it, it simply represents a failure in American Foreign policy and management.
