Bet someone on the city council has a brother in law who owns a solar panel company. Just watch as that $60 million magically disappears.

More than state rights, support city rights. 80% of Democrats live within city limits. If you sell Democrats enough rope, they will hang themselves. They never learn.

Watch Portland live to regret it as it morphs into a ghost town
Actually surveys show Portland is the #1 destination that Millenials are relocating TO.
Can't fix that kind of stupid. Once most of us Boomers are gone this country is SOOOOOOOO SCROOOOOOOOD.

Will have the same effect the soda taxes did in Oregon and Washington....consumers will simply drive to another city to buy their stuff at lower prices and leave Portland retailers with empty stores.

Got me how companies are going to handle it; theres no sales tax to toss a surcharge onto.
Why do you need to have a sales tax to add a surcharge? The surplus construction place near me has a ~15% tariff charge on any kitchen cabinetry. It's only based on the stuff coming from China/other tariffed countries. If half my cart is local accessories, I get full sales tax but only 'half' the tariff tax.
