NEW YORK (Reuters) - WA federal appeals court on Wednesday refused to set aside an injunction blocking the Trump administration from enforcing a rule that would withhold green cards from immigrants likely to require government assistance such as Medicaid or food stamps.
In a brief order, the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan also set an expedited schedule for the White House’s appeal of a lower court ruling against the rule, with legal papers to be submitted by Feb. 14 and oral arguments to be held soon afterward.
The “public charge” rule unveiled last year would make it harder for immigrants who are poor or need government help to secure residency and stay in the country.

I hope the so-called judge who issued that unlawful order will have his/her/its life ruined. The thug should be shunned by all decent people and then removed from office through whatever legal means are appropriate.
Since you judges do not want a boarder wall, then court house security is out of the question........

Can you keep all the stupid, pointless judges under you in line, or do we just have 1,000 random presidents in black robes that are answerable to no one?
Indians, West Indians, Cubans africans (except Somali) not so much.
And they will be overruled in higher courts.
Trump flipped the 2nd Circuit to mostly conservative. I think all judges will have to vote after the appeal. He should win.
Surprised that there were all liberal judges on this decision since the court favors Republican appointments.
"judge" Amalya L. Kearse was appointed to the bench by Peanut Boy Carter, Guido Calabresi by Rapin Bill Clinton, and Susan L. Carney by "Æthelblack the Unready" Obama.
Having emotion-lead women on these courts didn’t help either.
As for that silly poem on a plaque at the Statue of Liberty, it is a sentimental expression, not public policy. It also contains the phrase "yearning to be free" not "yearning to swill at the public trough".
Fine, bill WA for services.
And red state governors are playing, “If You Can’t Beat ‘Em, Join ‘Em,” requesting MORE refugees on so-called humanitarian grounds.
Follow the money.
Just because the GOPe was too spineless to impeach when Democrats ignored the court, don’t think the Democrats will act the same towards Trump.
