Many comments on both sides of the political spectrum are quite premature — “Trump backed down” and “Iran lobbed some missiles to save face” etc.
It’s only been a few days since Soleimani was killed. I would not necessarily assume this is over. Certainly terrorists are known to take months and years to enact their revenge ... and Trump will do whatever he does in a time of his choosing.
In our instant gratification and 24 hour news cycle society the patience and playing the long game are very out of fashion.
A studied and measured response is preferable to a knee jerk reaction every time.
