Horrific coincidence that might not entirely be a coincidence. A Ukraine 737 Airliner, Flight 752 from Tehran to Ukraine, is lost shortly after take-off. The incident takes place only hours after Iran fires ballistic missiles into Iraq targeting U.S. bases
Video of the plane crashing shows the airliner in flames as it nears the ground and explodes. Some preliminary reporting indicated the flight might have been accidentally shot down by Iranian anti-aircraft defenses.

That is the problem when you put Surface-to-Air missiles in the hands of civilians. No coordinated control. And when you launch a war at the frontier, but try to pretend that nothing is going on in the Capitol. You might not expect civilian airliners to be flying in a war zone.
I read a report that it was a Boeing 737-8. The generation before the MAX. Not effected by the MCAS fiasco.
Besides, falling from the sky on fire was not the MCAS crash profile.

You can bet your ass that, knowing there were going to be missile launches into Iraq, Iranian air defense batteries were placed on a “weapons free” status. Some moron(s) in the Iranian air defense corps, fearing an immediate retaliatory attack, were a little too trigger happy and unloaded on a “low-flying unidentified aircraft on an attack profile.”
You can also count on the fact that we know exactly what happened to that aircraft...

Uh oh! We failed to respond to their attack on our bases, and now they have destroyed an airliner filled with innocent people. As usual the Iranians will attempt to lie their way out of this murder of 170 innocent lives. They will fail again.

The Iranians will not give up the “Black Box” to Boeing or anyone else because it will prove that they shot it down. The plane was a Boeing 737-800, not a 737-Max which has been suspended from operations due to two recent crashes.
Not a Max. Iranians are not giving up the “Black Box”, which indicates to me that they probably shot it down (probably from their anti-aircraft missile systems).

I’ve since seen pics of this plane on one of the main UK tabloid sites (Mail?) showing similar shrapnel holes.
