Yes, one of my college professors was friends with the then British ambassador to Iran (this was before the fall of the Shah), and we all got invited to the professor’s house to meet the ambassador and hear him make a presentation about Iran,complete with slide show with the old Kodak slide projector. The British ambassador went on and on about what a wonderful country Iran was, how beautiful it was, all the wonderful architecture there, especially Isfahan. This was all before Iran got sent back to the Stone Age by the Ayatollah, supported by Dumbsh*t President Jimmah Cahtah. Then of course Iran took the hostages and Reagan wiped Carter’s butt off the map in the election.

They were prepared for this and knew what to do..now Iran can say that they threw their little scuds all over the place and got their "Retaliation" I live in a part of LA that is heavily and I mean HEAVILY Persian..I think for the most part people that live around me vote Democrat, at least they are registered Dems but who knows how they vote..they all hate Jimmy Carter because they loved the Shah he should NOT have been forced out..the second that he was forced out Iran became what it is today, controlled by those who hate America and hate Israel..it didnt used to be that way
