I think they saw the writing on the wall when their military mastermind was reduced to a smudge mark. They probably took his latest battleplan and started to execute it.

I’m wondering if China or Russia gave Iran their blessing to do this. I have no idea what interests those countries have in Iran these days. I do know back in the 1980s, they’d scare us with WWIII simulations where Iran was the start of everything (see the movie Threads as an example). Times have changed and I can’t see either Russia or China really caring about these pedophile worshiping, stone age freaks anymore.

We were doing simulations on that scenario in the mid and late 1960’s with Iran being the lynch pin.
