I saw my Iranian refugee friend Kaveh in church this morning and asked him what he thought of the killing of Qasem Soleimani.
“I’m a little unhappy with it,” he said. “My wife’s unhappy, too. So are our parents in Teheran.”
“Why””
“Because he didn’t suffer.”
“You’re a Christian, right?”
“Right.”
“Trust me, brother, he’s suffering,” I said.
I’m an ex-pat living next door to the Middle East, and I don’t think most Americans understand what a significant historic event this is. Most Iranians are completely fed up with the oppressive reign of the mullahs, and most Middle East countries are completely fed up with the organized terrorism being exported by Iran, which has been destabilizing the region for the last four decades.
It all began when a rather gullible peanut rancher from Plains, Georgia, who occupied the White House for a mostly unfortunate four years, allowed the foxy old cleric to convince him that a Khomeini-led Iran would be friendly to the United States. Not long after that the U.S. embassy fell to an organized Iranian mob. To be fair, Khomeini wasn’t behind the embassy seizure, but he quickly understood that he held a huge bargaining chip in the face of the Carter-led USA’s lack of resolve.
Mark Steyn, substituting for Rush Limbaugh last Friday, said that Soleimani arrived at Bagdhad Airport, collected his luggage, and then about five minutes later collected his seventy-two virgins. “The reason he got seventy two virgins,” Steyn quipped, “was because he was blown into seventy-two pieces.”

Does it really matter? A million attended the funeral. You can’t get that many at gunpoint. Don’t know if it was in Iran or Iraq but they’re all crazy.

We’re defending America. Regime change in Iran would be a bonus if it happens.

Our country's liberal 'elites' aren't the only jerks worried about an 'elite' like Soleimani being taken out... The world's 'elites' want the old rules: cannon fodder must be young powerless men and women in uniform - AND innocent civilians. Generals,(like General Soleimani) top terrorists, Mullahs, 'intelligence' thugs, etc are OFF LIMITS.
Our liberal elites AND Iranian 'elites' want the same thing: war WITHOUT DEATH CONSEQUENCES FOR 'ELITES'...
Innocent civilians, powerless young women, men - (often in uniform - on both sides) are acceptable targets.
Powerful thugs - Mullahs, 'leaders', Generals, etc ARE NOT to be targeted. Culture centers where elites play ARE OFF LIMITS. US 'elite' leaders' and Iranian 'elite' leaders' all AGREE. "Elites" and their playgrounds, mansions, culture centers, vacation homes etc... can't be targets.
Trump stands once again with 'the people'. If it's war, the 'elites' must be on the table - and yes, with their playgrounds, mansions, vacation homes...AND culture centers.. etc.

No, but Iran has been exporting terrorism and destabilizing the middle east since 1979. They consider us their enemy, we need to frustrate, undermine, and destabilize the mullahs so that they are focused on survival, not exporting trouble.
Iraq is a mess in large part to Iran actively destabilizing attempts to knit the country back together from 2005-2011. By 2011, the Iraqi state was functional and most major fighting was over. When we pulled out, Iran began pressuring the Maliki government to freeze out Sunnis and Kurds. This destabilized the Army and government in Sunni areas and opened the door for ISIS in 2014.
They use proxies to attack Israel, aggravated the civil war in Syria, and have caused problems globally against Jews and us. They have earned payback, and killing Soleimani is a good down payment. We don’t need to invade, just force them to react to us and keep them on the defensive.
How wonderful.

Screw it. Destroy what we need to destroy. Total war until it’s over as quickly as possible.

Those that do not learn from history are condemned to repeat it. Near the end the Roman empire was in the same shape that the USA is in now. They were corrupt and the only way that the people would support them was to make them look outward not inward. So they needed enemies and wars to stay in power.
When Obama gave Iran all that money I knew that it was all about buying and arming an enemy. Now here we are, with the situation escalating. I guess Obummer was a patriot after all, even though he did not mean to be.

They support terrorists in Bahrain, India, Israel, Shi’ite Militias in Iraq, Kenya, Argentina, Thailand, France, and Denmark. They were directly involved with the support of the 1998 United States embassy bombings, the USS Cole bombing, 911, and the Riyadh compound bombings.
