I’ve worked >60 hours a week for months straight now.

Some jobs don’t need to.

Look, why not demand 8 hour work weeks?

I mean if you want to support this nonsense, go all the way.

It’s an extremely flawed idea. It’s promoted by Leftists. What else is there to say?

I’ll name the top 25 Finnish global corporations and the 100 or so products that Finland makes that might suffer from this lower productivity.....

I think enough could get done, for most jobs, in a 32 hour week.

From the converse perspective, why 40 hours, why not 70+, go all the way.

isn’t there a lot of alcoholism in those northern countries? I guess this gives people more time to drink up!

LOL, neither you or the business owner will agree to either pay a full salary for 24 hours vs 40, or accept a significant wage reduction for reduced hours.

This type of effort is pushed by the same folks who want to force $15 dollar hourly wages on fast food places and restaurants.

All they succeed in doing is putting people out of work, and forcing businesses to close.

Your attempt to offer a reverse insult didn’t play, because I’m not advocating we increase the hours needed to work for what people get paid now for 40 hours of work.

As for jobs that can be done in 24 or 32 hours, we already have that. It’s called part time. If you work 24 or 32 hours, you get paid 24/40ths or 32/40ths of your regular wage.

Most people want a full time job.

That will work real well with the professions & trades. The doctor is now on a 24 hour workweek as is the plumber. Good luck with that.

It’s a wonder some of these nations continue to exist.
