The attack on the West Freeway Church of Christ reminds us of an important truth that too many still deny:
Concealed-permit gun holders save lives. And in today’s world, they and their weapons should be welcomed in churches and other houses of worship.

I agree. More people should be carrying their firearms openly. I know a lot of people get scared when they see someone with a holstered weapon on their hip but myself feel much safer with them around.
It took 6 seconds between the first and last shots with 3 people dead, the initiator being the first to shoot and the last to die. How many more would have died without concealed carry? The perp wouldn’t have fired the first shots if he had known there were at least 7 others prepared to fire back!
I can’t post it but a retired copy buddy sent me video from a CCW shooting at a pack and ship store. Dude was shipping a package when a feral walks up wearing a hoodie and pulls a gun, demanded money from the clerk. Dude pulls out his gun and shoots the badguy three times in less than 6 seconds total. Badguy dropped like a sack of rocks and assumed the position required for the rest of eternity.
I see open carry like uniformed cops. Those that think only concealed carry has value are like saying plain clothes cops are best. Fact is, uniformed cops always make bad guys think twice, just like open carry does.
I believe that video was from Brazil, one of Trump’s aptly-labeled “sh*tholes” where failing to be armed at all times and anywhere is to court trouble.
