I hope Japan sends warships to protect their tankers as well.
Keep in mind that, by and large, the two countries have divided citizenship loyalties. The Dems would rather live under Islamic sharia law than Constitutional Republic governance, while the Iranian protestors wish they had our 2nd Amendment.

Pound for pound, Japan has one of the best navies, in the world. They have been limited to a self defense force since WWII ended, but most experts would rank them as better than their adversaries across the sea, in The People’s Republic. Thank you.
Technically, it is the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force. Its is definitely in the top 10, excluding nuclear weapons.
yes they do. They even have a Helicopter “carrier”, but they have to call it something else to comply with their laws.
