His approval may have gone up but it does not change the fact that use of military force nearly always results in a net loss of voter support. If this is the end of it everything will be fine but it may not end here. The anti Trump deep state will be working to drag the President in deeper. Now they have the President drawing a line in the sand “ If they do anything there will be major retaliation.”
“major retaliation” sounds a lot like the start of another endless war and loss in 2020.
