Dershowitz is too honest to be a Democrat.

He also seems to be an honorable man which definitely puts him at odds with Democrats.

Perhaps he is stuck on family tradition. I have known a few people that remain Democrats more or less because their family have always been Democrats.

He's much too smart to remain a democRAT, family tradition or not. Something else is in play with him.

Maybe he is liberal on social issues but conservative on fiscal and foreign policy issues.
