Former National Security Advisor Susan Rice made the media rounds on Friday to discuss the death of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani. She repeatedly said the Trump administration "misrepresents the facts," something Benghazi annex team member Mark Geist takes issue with.
"She pretty much has zero integrity in my book, but it's typical tactics from the Democrats," Geist told Fox News' Pete Hegseth on "Fox and Friends: Weekend."
According to Geist, Democrats will have one person who will come out and say what they want people to hear, similar to what happened after the attack in Benghazi back in 2012.
"Mark, after that happened, and you're looking at the coverage and you you hear Susan you've been through a gun fight to defend your mean. You've lost men, you've saved lives and you see the National Security Advisor say, 'It was just spontaneous and it's because of an internet video.' Your reaction in that moment and how it colors your frustration of the fact that she now charges the Trump administration with lying?" Hegseth asked.
"First off, when has a protest ever occurred at night? When do they typically most protests they don't typically bring AK-47s, belt-fed machine guns and RPGs," Geist explained. "That's someone planning an attack and they knew it. They knew it when she went on the speaking circuit that Sunday but instead of telling the truth she just wanted to tell lies because she had to say what the administration at the time wanted."
Rice was never held accountable for making the media rounds following the attacks in Benghazi. According to Geist, people like CNN's Wolf Blitzer are giving her another pass when asking her about integrity "instead of asking her the questions they should."
"The whole Benghazi thing, I think there's a lot of people out there Hillary Clinton included that have skated on being held accountable, and truly being held accountable," Geist explained.
The former Marine said things would have been different in Benghazi if President Trump were in office at the time and "we wouldn't have lost for Americans."
"One, I know for a fact we'd have security at the consulate would have been a whole lot better. We also would have had a whole lot more support that would have gotten to us," he explained. "A good example is what he did here [in Baghdad]. Within an hour he had 100 Marines heading in that direction. They had 750 Marines coming up from Kuwait and then the 82nd Airborne put on alert and headed in that direction as well."

I had no idea, thanks.
“Mark Geist wrote 13 Hours.”
Co-authored - along with 4 other security contractors who fought off the assault - with author Mitchell Zuckoff, to be factual.
Thank you for clarifying.

yikes, no wonder dims are so upset about losing one of their own
They *only* care about hurting President Trump. Any bad news for America is absolutely fine as long as it can be hung around Donald Trump’s neck. They literally wouldn’t mind a nuked city if it meant blaming the president. Any good news for America either has to be spun as a negative for him, or it has to be buried deep.

Of course you are right. The haters only care about trying to discredit Trump. THEY know they are losing so they have ramped up the fear tactics.
It is only going to get worse.
Trump knows what obama and clinton did yet covers up for them.
He could tell us all where obama was and who ordered the military to stop trying to save the Americans and who ordered the firing of those military commanders afterward etc.
