the iranians can’t do crap to a flattop. we tried to sink one in 2005 and failed. they have worms, but they won’t be a real threat. understand the next round will entail taking out iranian military sites, oil refineries, and then critical infrastructure. The other possibility is partitioning iraqi and iranian kurdish areas (eventually syrian and turkish as well) into a greater kurdistan. We live in interesting times, 2 fer, no Iranian oil hurts china the most.

Indeed we do...and yes it does...I seem to recall a historical precedent illustrating what interfering with a nation's oil imports can lead to... In Aug 1941, Roosevelt "embargoed the export of such grades of oil as still were in commercial flow to Japan." And the rest , so they say, is history.
