I believe and have stated this several times
Trump will take every state he got in 16
And will get most if not all states he got 45% of the vote or better and lost
And he will take the battle to the states where he got around 40% of the vote in 16 and don’t be surprised if he takes a few of those as well
Doesn’t matter who the D nominee is

Northern Virginia has 10 out of the 40 state senate seats and 25 out of the 100 state house seats for a total of 35 seats. Every single seat is held by a democrat.
The voters in this region are incredibly self satisfied and are united with their hatred of Trump. Nothing is going to deter them from voting against Trump.
There was record turnout for the democrats in Nov 2019 for the state elections and the key motivation was a dem vote was a proxy vote against Trump.
This while the gun owners stayed at home on election day cleaning their guns in their red buffalo plaid shirts while whistling Dixie.
Trump lost Virginia by 250,000 votes and with the demographics changing rapidly towards the democrats, Trump doesn't have a chance.
Trump is not going to campaign in Virginia and isn't going to spend a dime in this state.
Also, keep in mind, that both state houses flipped to the dems while a sitting democrat governor either wore blackface or donned a KKK sheet (maybe both), a democrat lt. gov has three credible claims from women claiming he raped them and the dem attorney general has admitted being a serial blackface artist. The dems still had a record turnout propelled by the liberals of Northern Virginia and you think Trump will win Va?
