I knew several girls in elementary school who back in the day were labeled "tomboys". A good number of them grew up with brothers and/or male cousins. At the time, they were teased about it by other classmates (kids could be cruel, and that remains true throughout time).

Imagine their surprise by the time high school rolled around that they were some of the brightest and most attractive girls. I shudder to think what could happen to them in today's world.

And I think most men would love to marry an active athletic woman. For example, one who loves to play golf very well and plays with him. Loves to go skiing, boating, water skiing, amusement parks, camping, etc etc etc. Those were the tomboys who didn’t just paint their fingernails and stay indoors. I was kinda between the two kinds of girls. I wish I were MORE active...
