Jones is almost guaranteed to get beaten in the next election so it’s a hail Mary pass to try and stay in office. He knows that if he votes against Trump it’s a 99% chance he’ll lose the election, if he votes for Trump it’s a 98% chance.
Doesn’t he have his income secured forever now? Or has he not had enough time to make all the defcon connections for when he’s out of office.
