,,, whether someone adheres to a religion or not, there's one fact that can't be disputed... for the billions and billions of dollars a year nations contribute to the UN - the UN isn't in the business of making things better. It has perfected the art of claiming the higher ground and sat back while their troops have raped children in Rwanda and other strife torn countries. The Catholic Church's idea of moving offending clergy away from victims just in time and paying out hush money seems to sit on the same shelf with that abuse.

I was a Catholic for just over forty two years. I'm now absorbed in a Church that shows love and community outreach without contributing to tapestries in the Vatican that are larger than the floor space of our local Church hall. I wondered some years ago just how much of a church the Catholics were running when their Vatican Bank was sprung for financing Pakistani terrorists (the BCCI scandal). It became apparent to many that this "church" was a shady corporation trading on religious tradition and it was able to maintain plausibility with the captives who still loyally attend each Sunday. The Pope has hooked onto the art of designing a crisis. The Church coffers will be emptied and it will become a division of the UN as much as the Russian Orthodox Church is one of Putin's government departments.
