Isabel Arreola, 38, said she did not know what to think when the man sat down two feet behind her and her 7-year-old daughter.
She wanted to think that he was there to worship, just like everyone else, but she had never seen him in church, and said he appeared to be in disguise.
His beard and the hair on his head looked fake, and he made her uncomfortable, Arreola said. She noticed him from the moment that he sat down, Arreola said.
She and her husband decided they would move to the other side of the church after communion, Arreola said.
Then the man got up, pulled a shotgun from his clothing and fired, she said.
At the same time, we all dove for the floor, she said. My husband covered my daughter with his body.
By the time they all got up, other church members were approaching the gunman with their weapons drawn.
I was so surprised because I did not know that so many in the church were armed, she said.
Two members of the congregations security team returned fire, White Settlement Police Chief J.P. Bevering said. The gunman died at the scene, Bevering said.
Arreola said she could tell that one of the members of the security team was concerned about the shooter because he sat in the back right near him.
They saved us, Arreola said. Unfortunately, two men lost their lives while they were doing so.
Arreola said she couldnt concentrate when the man was sitting behind her.
I should have listened to my gut, Arreola said. While he was there, I couldnt sing. I couldnt pray. There was just something not right about him. But at the same time, I thought that maybe I was being too hard.

Arreola said that she wanted to provide a good example for her young daughter (by not moving seats.)
Expect more of this. Evil has set
in. It will seek out the light to damper its flame. We all need to burn brighter. Stand tall everyone.
ALWAYS judge a book by its cover, especially these days. If someone looks or acts weird, theres probably a reason that could unexpectedly manifest in a dangerous way. Until you know more about someone, how else can you judge them except by appearance and behavior?
“His beard and the hair on his head looked fake, “
Meaning...he intended to do this and escape. This wasn’t a suicide mission. When he fled he would rip off beard and wig, lose the hoodie, and stymie anyone trying to ID him.
And they are carefully avoiding telling us who he is.
Something stinks here.
Her description has given me far more information on the shooting than I’ve seen in other articles.
Thank you Ma’am for being so observant. You are reminding us about Situational Awareness. When in public, look around you. Be aware, always. That does not equal paranoia.
Antifa
Usually after one of these shooting, the MSM posting everything about the shooter. But in this case, they are very quiet!!!
Discrimination is an ancient survival tactic that has served us well over the eons..
Demographics or name yet? Odd.
Either that or they are investigating things the way they used to, before the politicization of of law enforcement made it fashionable for officials to showboat and suck up to the press by leaking.
We’ve just gotten so accustomed to leaking that we’ve come to accept it as normal...but it wasn’t normal years ago.
I like that - good rule, and good observation about the heart. :)
“You are reminding us about Situational Awareness. When in public, look around you. Be aware, always.”
And by all means, never profile!
“Discrimination is an ancient survival tactic that has served us well over the eons..”
ABSOLUTELY!! But they’re constantly telling us we shouldn’t do that, we shouldn’t play the odds, we shouldn’t believe our lying eyes.
A rabidly delusional libtard. Put down like a rabid dog. Praise God. A helicopter would have saved two lives.
Didn’t that Walmart shooter in TX wear a mask or some disguise?
Discrimination is normal and necessary.
We discriminate throughout every day of our lives what to eat, what not to say, how to react, what not to eat, where to step.
Radios have discriminator circuits. Otherwise, youd hear all stations mixed together (the diversity would make it unusable, unbearable).
Decades ago, having discriminating taste was a compliment.
The million dollar statement, to me, on argument to concealed carry versus open carry.
The perp does not know who or where the protectors may be to his position until it is showdown time
Also pay mind to the frog hairs on the back of your neck. They tell the tale
