He’s 89. Born in 1930. Which would have made him a teen during WWII.

Barack Obama squandered the opportunity of a lifetime to become a transformational president.

Please. His hatred of whites was palpable, and only Herculean efforts by the compliant MSM kept many non-politically attuned whites from noticing.

Reagan was able to bring in the blue collars, but the Bushes squandered it.

Papa bush and the reading of his lips, which we did, and then he planted them on schumer and kennedys asses.

Then there was shrub and his open borders policy.

Reagans biggest mistake George Bush...

Trump may turn out like Reagan just a bump in the road for the DC elite

Trump has exposed the GOP for what they really are ..useless...just as corrupt as the democrats...

I'm cautiously optimistic about the GOP after their showing in the House shampeachment hearings. Maybe some of President Trump's fighting spirit has rubbed off on them.

I definitely recall (having become nauseous) overhearing the [white] janitors at a Brooklyn school I used to teach in praising Odungo and panning the then-current Repub candidate. This was during Odungo’s first term. I marveled at their ignorance and lack of critical thinking skills. I don’t think you could come up with a more blue-collar job than being a janitor. I wonder if they eventually developed buyers’ remorse with their commie traitor.

In general, the stereotype of janitors is of not being burdened with an abundance of intelligence. I have known two socially who clearly broke that stereotype, but both owned their janitorial service business and were primarily businessmen. One was white, one was black.

The black one was younger -- mid 30s and he already had 50+ "sweeps" which is what they call sites they service at night. He was a conservative, but a weak conservative. The white one was older and a stronger conservative. Every once in a while he would talk about the size of his 401(k), which would put most of the office workers I knew to shame.

Will never change unless we get a Trump supporter for Senate leader..

Mitch is as corrupt as the Bidens...and would love to see Trump gone..but the Democrats came up with nothing..

And Trumps poll numbers have held steady...

The GOP did nothing for three years..except taxes..

He ended up focused on identity politics golfing, travel , rather than any transformation for the better of the economy.

Like I said earlier up thread - the 2016 election showed a bit of it. A lot of Union guys in particular stepped up and shoved their middle finger in the faces of the dems.

And again, more work to be done, for sure.

"That was his signature ambition, obvious enough in his infamous remarks about how he would fundamentally transform the country."

Obama’s teleprompter gave him everything he needed to say to get low-information people to vote for him.

Remember in November!

MAGA! Now KAGA! (Keep America Great Always!)

That's true of the McCain/Ryan GOP that President Trump had to deal with in his first two years, but they have shown some fight this year with the Democrat House.

In any event, a vote for anyone but a Republican in 2020 is a vote for at least two more years of this.

"the Bushes" [shakes head]

What a disgrace that family turned out to be.

I got worked on that deal.

GWB still tries to throw nostalgic punches at Trump to show his deep state loyalty is still strong, but it's as pathetic as the Bush family cellar boy, Jeb -

Martha’s Vineyard elevation is 72 feet. Your house would be washed out to sea in only 11 years!

In hindsight, Obama’s strategy of alienating white voters, particularly working class whites, wasn’t all that dumb at the time.

That was because the GOP looked at working class whites as pure shit, no different than the Democrats...so locking down a strong black vote (and to a lesser extent, locking down Hispanics), made sense in our ever ‘diversifying’ country.

And the GOP was happy to play along, as I guess they had their own little Hunter Biden type kingdoms they were cashing in on too (judging by their super-tepid reactions to Trumps effort against the Deep State), and was more than ready to concede the 2016 election (and with that the country) to Left.

...but then Trump came along.

“One only has to watch Trump’s rallies to see that he’s created a new base for Republicans for generations to come.”

If they can keep it...

The Dems were never for the working man. They started as, continued to be, and are still the party of slavery.

For a while they mouthed some lies to fool workers but always pushed plans to ruin them, and have now abandoned that pretense entirely in favor of imported (indentured) servants.
