Murky thinks impeachment of Trump is akin to voting against Kavanaugh. It’s not. She has missed the fact that Trump is the GOP now. No, not by virtue of the RINOs embracing an outsider and his movement, but by the fact that this guy can flat out raise funds. It’s sad, but true.
When it comes to impeachment, murky is dead wrong. This is a litmus test. If you are a GOP Senator and you support this, it’s your political death. You will actually face a primary. Mitch will ditch you, especially since he will need to ride Trump’s popularity to win in Kentucky.
The GOPe goal as expressed by Murkowski isn’t to impeach. That’s isn’t happening because that would have GOP finger prints on it and the Trump voting GOP base would be outraged. The goal is to wound POTUS enough that a Democrat beats him in 2020. You can see this GOPe strategy in the top cover given to Mueller and dirty Rosenstein, the non engagement of the ongoing coup, blocking his important nominees for Fed and DNI, undermining him in Fake News, etc., etc.
The GOPe becomes weaker every week. Trump OWNS the Republican party and they know it. His numbers of support were summarized by a guest on a Fox program yesterday as “there are more republicans who believe the lunar landings were fake than republicans who do not support Trump” (paraphrased).
We have not seen numbers like this in the last 30 years and this level of support within a party is a good barometer for independent support.
Murkowski is just being “Murkowski” and while I would love for her to be retired in 2022, it is highly unlikely she would vote to impeach the President who is very popular in Alaska. In the words of somebody... there is “no there there”. The articles of impeachment are a complete joke.
Her staff is going to get beat up next week on the phone.

Murky wins on name recognition in a state with a very small population. It's really all she's got going for her.
If Palin were on the ballot I think she would win and we would all be better off for it.
Murky was elected on her family name, idiots who don’t think and just vote familiar names, and by democrats who knew/know they didn’t have a chance of winning the senate race. And Murky knows who she was elected by. Why the GOP allows her into the party, I’ll never know. She is actively spying on them. And the only thing decent she does for AK is defend resource development.
