From what I recall of how LSD works, it triggers a response in the brain. Meaning that once a certain level is reached any extra has no added effect. And that maximum level is pretty small in itself. 1,000 hits would have no more effect than the “normal” maximum dose.

Hmmm. I don’t know.

I know that once the brain “gets off” on the drug, the same effect cannot be achieved again for approximately 5 days, but I am not sure what happens if you consume a large dose at once.

There probably is a maximum effect. Perhaps the program wasn’t being fully honest about the situation and exaggerated for dramatic effect.
