I don’t recall anyone saying Trump was a “drunkard.” A womanizer, yes.
But so was Solomon and Abraham, who fathered two kids by different women.
The ONLY question ANY Christian should ask of Trump-—since none of us know his soul or his relationship with Jesus-—is, is he doing what a Christian leader would do if he WERE truly a Christian?
That question answers itself. Trump’s “fruit” of ACTIONS is entirely that of a believer and Christ follower. His words, perhaps not always. But James and John were not known as the “Sons of Thunder” for nothing, and Paul was a braggart to whom Trump can’t hold a candle.
I am 100% thrilled that Donald Trump is my president, and confident he knows my Lord.

Oh, wow, that’s a great question. Great point.
On Samson being a drunkard, of course Trump famously does not drink alcohol at all. However, God chose Samson because — in my argument — God tried all the “better” choices first and they “said no” (weren’t listening).
Of course ultimately, the flawed human being who actually answers God’s call is “better” but we understand the controversy
