I can’t really say New York City is the rudest city in the United States because I haven’t visited all of them. I went to a Columbia University in the mid 1950s for a number of years and was shocked at how New Yorker spoke to each other in traffic. They can also be amusing companions. I’ve had a number of very polite New York friends whom I like very much, but I have to admit that New York City residents in general, when dealing with people they don’t know, are the rudest people I’ve ever encountered in my eighty-seven years. I’ve found that Brits can be rude to each other too, and pass it off as banter.
I might add as a Southron, an armed society tends to be a polite society.
Were all the people you talked to just laid off from that plant? :-)
“Welcome to Philadelphia, by the way, you suck!”
No, they were all retirees with pensions and health insurance benefits...........
NYC is full of rude, unhappy malcontents who think they’re the center of the universe.
Nobody likes rude angry people.
Nope just signs that said Vote for John Kerry and no loud talking. Most of the interlopers in the Carroll Gardens/Red Hook section of Brooklyn are liberal ass hats.
My experience is to just keep singing.....New York New York its a wonderful town The Bronx is up and the Battery is down....and everything will be alright.
That’s what I thought. Those in Eastern Pennsylvania are rude. The even booed Santa.
Central and Western Pennsylvania are far different. Not dissimilar to the difference between NYC and Upstate NY.
Ever been to a supermarket and seen a woman on a cellphone “gesturing greatly”?
