Until this year, the two largest paychecks the state of West Virginia wrote were for the basketball and football coaches at WVU.
We still have the same basketball coach so I’m pretty sure he’s still top dog. We got a new football coach though, and I’m not sure where he sits in the pecking order.

They are probably not the only coaches being the highest paid employees in the states where they coach.
