Trump’s Judges Have Flipped 3 Appeals Courts to Majority GOP-Appointed

President Trump’s nominations to the federal courts have flipped three circuits making them majority Republican-appointed, lowered the age of GOP-appointed judges by 14 years, and reshaped the judiciary for decades to come, according to a series of new reports.

When Trump took office in January 2017, only four of the 13 U.S. appeals courts had a majority of Republican-appointed judges. Today, seven of the 13 appeals courts do.

This year alone, the Second, Third and 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals have flipped from majority Democratic-nominated to majority Republican-nominated, according to Law.com.

All total, 187 Trump-appointed federal judges have been confirmed by the GOP-controlled U.S. Senate.

“America’s courts are critical to the preservation of religious liberty – and one of the greatest legacies for our first freedom has been the appointment of one of the youngest classes of conservative, textualist judges who will be on the court for the next 30 or even 40 years,” read an analysis by First Liberty Institute, a religious liberty legal organization that supports Trump’s nominations.

Where the most improvement needed is in the DC Court of Appeals, with 11 judges, 4 appointed by GOP presidents (two by Trump).

Unless there are early retirements, or judges fall very ill, it’s unlikely Trump will able to flip this court over 8 years. As a whole, they’re a relatively young bunch. I think it’s accurate to say the DC Circuit is the most influential of all the appellate courts.

This is an important and laudable accomplishment for the president, with the help of McConnell.

However...

‘GOP-appointed’ doesn’t serve as a reliable indicator that a judge will rule in an expected way, as can be anticipated when the far-more ideological left/Dems install one. Their judges seem to be far more predictable.

And NEVER FORGET that RINOs voted for the vast majority of these judges, not Democrats, not ‘conservative’ Democrats, not even Democrats who are ‘just as good as Republicans’ (as some people claimed about Joe Manchin), but RINOs!!!

RINOs, even the worst of them (Murkowski, and not quite as bad being Collins and Romney) STILL voted for virtually all of Trump’s judges. Not every single time (as in Murkowski going tribal and voting against Kavenaugh), but still enough, even for Kavenaugh (with Collins and Flake supporting him)...and virtually every other Trump judge.

So in November elections, it is time for our side to put ‘principle’ aside...the country, and YOUR CHILDREN, gain nothing by electing Democrats, particularly to the Senate*. Primaries are where the party gets cleansed, as Trump showed in 2016 - he knew that sitting it out, or going 3rd party would do nothing but elect Hillary...so he fought his battle in the PRIMARY.

*Arguably one could say that giving the Democrats a chance to make total fools of themselves in the House was ultimately worth it, just so they would finally be exposed for who they are.
