The best self-help book I ever read, and the one that helped me when I really needed, was “Full Catastophe Living, by Jon Kabatt-Zinn It was essentially a tutorial on how live in each moment by exercising mindfulness. I think I’ve read it 3 times now.
Kabatt-Zin later wrote a book, “Wherever You Go, There You Are: Mindfulness Meditation in Everyday Life.” Not as good, not much to offer but, if I remember correctly he attributed the title to Ram Dass.
I grew up in the 60’s.
Never heard of this guy.
Maybe it’s true. If you remember the 60’s you weren’t there.
(But honestly, I don’t think I HAVE ever heard of him. And I’ve never done a drug or smoked pot in my life.)
